The 19th annual Hands Across the Green Golf Tournament to Support the Children’s Fund was a big success, raising thousands of dollars for disadvantaged children across the state.
“I am so pleased by the generosity of our teachers, our community, participants and sponsors. This year was a great event, and I am proud of everyone who donated to this deserving charity to help underprivileged children in our public schools across the state,” said CEA Vice President and Connecticut Education Foundation President Jeff Leake.
Since its inception, the Children’s Fund has provided nearly a half million dollars to help needy children with the most basic necessities, including eyeglasses, clothes, hearing aids, and much more.
